Workshops
The Sunshine Storyteller offers two different storytelling learning
experiences: an intro to storytelling called
“The Story Making
Workshop” (1-3 meetings)
and a comprehensive multi-session artist
residency,
“The Handy Guide to Storytelling” (12-15 meetings, with a
work-in-progress performance as the final event).
Each workshop experience is specifically tailored to target the
curriculum standards and learning needs of the learning group. A
seasoned classroom instructor and teaching artist, Ina has experience
with students aged 5 – 82.  Workshop participants will explore
creating a successful presentation style,  growing a story through
descriptive language, movement, character voices and song.

Ina also offers a literacy empowerment workshop for parents and
teachers to help them learn exciting ways to engage children in the joy
of reading,
"Reading Together is Twice the Fun!"  Both workshops
explore tips for making storytime more fun and educationally effective,
plus resources for integrating enjoyable reading activities in a child's
daily routine.
